The Management Team

The Chairman, Dr. Hamirin Kifli, has more than 25 years experience in the R&D of palm oil & its products since the inception of PORIM in 1979. As the Director of Product Development and Advisory Services, MPOB (1994 - 2003), Dr. Hamirin was directly involved in managing R&D activities covering quality of palm oil and its products, food and non- food product developments and nutritional attributes of palm oil which have been of utmost importance to the Malaysian Palm oil industry and palm oil consumers worldwide.

He has led technical advisory visits and has been a part of government technical mission (led by Minister/ deputy Minisyter/ Secretary General) as PORIM/ MPOB representative and as resource person on technical aspects of palm oil. With his long experience in the industry, he is recognised and respected within the Malaysian palm oil community and internationally.

The Director, Capt. J.B. Chiang has more than 30 years experience in the cargo survey and inspection business, with many years in top management with renowned international companies. Managing Director of Caleb Brett / Inchape Testing Services for 19 years, he was directly responsible for the growth of the company from two offices to sixteen offices in Malaysia employing about 200 personnel. Joined Saybolt (M) Sdn. Bhd. in 1994 and was also instrumental in its growth. Left Saybolt in mid 1998 to start Schutter (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and Schutter Far East Sdn. Bhd. as the CEO and General Manager respectively.

The management team of Admiral Testing Services (M) Sdn Bhd is supported by a group of experienced, qualified and knowledgeable personnel in their respective fields:-


i) Mr. K. Kumaran, Senior Manager - Agric & General Cargoes
  • An MPOB Certified Surveyor with almost 30 years of surveying experience especially in palm oil & palm oil products.
  • Hashands-on experience in handling issues related to quality and quantity of palm oil and palm oil products.

ii) Mr. James Pereira, Manager -an ex - Royal Malaysian Customs     officer

  • Who has more than 20 years experience in import, export and well versed in all customs procedure and 5 years experience in a surveying company supervising Megasteel’s off shore and port discharging survey and tally works of steel scrap shipments is heading our Steel Scrap Division.
     

iii) David J.J Michael, Operation Manager - Calibration & Metering
  • Retired from National Metrology Laboratory, SIRIM Berhad
  • Morethan 20 years experience in calibration and metering services.

iv) Ms. Elsie Tan, Administration and Finance Executive
  • Almost 9 years experience in administration, documentation and invoicing.
     

v) Mr. Yeoh Chee Ghee, Manager, Customer Care (Liquid Bulk      Division)

  • Has more than 25 years experience in the palm oil industry. Has hands-on experience in the process control of palm oil and its derivatives. Was attached to a leading palm oil refiner company before joining the survey industry. Has 5 years experience in the surveying of dry bulk cargo (PKE) and fertilizer bulk and in bags.

vi) Mr. Low Kim Hong, Manager, Customer Care (Dry Bulk       Division)

  • Has more than 25 years experience in the production of compound fertilizers was involved in warehousing, transporting and export of fertilizers in container and in loose bags. He is now involved in the surveying of scrap metal and insurance / damage survey of general cargoes including onions, fertilizers, vegetables and fruits.
